Forums are a great way to meet new people and share ideas. Tons of people share their views and discuss various topics at these forums. As a matter of fact, I also started out at these forums. You will find most of the basic topics covered at these forums and there are plenty of helpful members to answer your queries almost instantly. To top this, you also get to use signature links, which will provide some free traffic and links.
- Digital Point Forums- SEO – Probably one of the largest Webmaster Forums by Shawn Hogan. This site has a large community and some very helpful members.
- Sitepoint Forums- SEO – Sitepoint’s SEO forum. Good coverage of various topics on SEO.
- V7n SEO forum – Another great forum for SEO and Webmaster related discussions.
- SEOchat Forums – Dedicated SEO related forum.
- Search Engine Forums – Search engine news and updates and forum.
- Webmaster World Forums – Again one of the top Webmaster Forums out there. SEO forum is relatively weaker but a must for any webmsater.

There are a lots of free SEO tools out there. Some of the tools mentioned below are paid but a lots of them are free too. Almost everything you need for Search Engine Optimization needs can be found in the sites below. My personal recommendation will be LinkScape from SEOMoz, Keyword tool from SEObook and Keyword difficulty check from SEOchat.
